Hypertherm decided to reinvent the wheels by taking the best features from some of it’s earlier top models and making it even more irresistible using the latest technology available. You may have already heard of the Powermax series from before and instead of coming up with a totally different or unique model number, they decided to stick to the tradition and simply put a “XP” towards the end of the name, making this Hypertherm Powerax 30 XP a special American edition.
While it is a privilege to use this machine in US, but no matter where you live, this realistically powerful unit will deliver the best handheld plasma cutting experience among it’s competitors. Let’s start with it’s Auto-Voltage technology which allows the operator to connect to any power socket supporting 110V – 240V power input. This is great news for USA and many other asian countries because they are within that range. In saying that, China is not one of them and given the spending power of the Chinese in recent years, you have to wonder what they were thinking when they built this Powermax 30XP plasma cutter.
One of the main addition to this version would be the Duramax LT Cutting Torch which is made with high heat-resistant material ensuring long lasting consumable life. Weighing at just over 21 pounds, travelling wouldn’t be a major concern though a hard carry case is welcome to transport this equipment. In saying that, you may be happy to know that this particular version do come with the hard case along with other safety items such as the EHE shield, shoulder strap, working gloves, as well as several other consumables.

The Hypertherm Powermax 30 XP is currently one of the best plasma cutter you can find in today’s market at an exceptional price! It has amazing cutting speed and is rated cut up to 137% faster when working on a 3mm or 1/8 inch mild steel. You can achieve incredible artwork, fabrication and most types of applications with this unit and the fact that it comes with almost every tools and consumables you needed to get going, the price is quite cheap when you round it off. The only other equipment you need though is an air compressor as this model doesn’t have one in-built. However given the size and weight of this machine, you can’t really blame them.
