This portable cutting system from Esab is the very first model of their range or packages. It’s equipped with the patented PT-34 torch which comes with double ended electrode for minimal operating cost. It’s suitable to plug into any standard 115V outlet and comes with a built-in power supply.
One of the standout point about this plasma cutter has to be the design of the actual unit. It looks extremely sharp with it’s yellow body paint and the fact that it only weights 60 lbs. It’s never too hard to take it from one site to another.
Another feature that we must mention is it’s fixed output which makes it relatively easy to use, without getting too technical.

What do we think?
Back in it’s days, maybe yes…but in year 2015 and upwards, definitely a no no! What more can we really say about this plasma cutter besides it really is getting old and ultimately lost it’s purpose, especially against other newer releases by ESAB. If you can find a used model however for hobby purpose, something under $250, then we wouldn’t stand against your way. Anything above, you may as well buy yourself a cheaper brand for cheaper price.
